As most of the player I mention in last two days, Yao Ming also was born in a basketball family in Shanghai, China. When was 14, he joined the Shanghai youth team, National youth team when he was 17, when Yao was 18, he became the player in Chinese National Team. Yao's career in China wasn't very long, after 2 years in Chinese A-League. He was drafted by Huston Rockets in the first pick. In 2004, the game against the Hawks, he scored his career high with 41 points and career high assist with 7. In the next year, he recorded his career rebound with 22. The thing is really need to mention is that, in his second rookie year, the last one who was played in the All-star was Tim Duncan in 1998, and Blake Griffin was the first one who play in All-star after Yao's.

Yao is very famous and favorite player in most Chinese and Huston's fan. Most of the fans in China love basketball since Yao was played in Huston, Yao also helped the Huston back on the road, and make many playoffs. It is sad that the injuries always is the major problem of Yao, might most of the player, In July 9th, 2011, NBA announced Yao Ming was retired, and Yao also announced in the press conference for his retirement.

Leave from the field, Yao is still active in the Basketball Industry, he is current one of the owner of the Shanghai Shark Men basketball club in CBA. And he put his passion of basketball into the charity. In 2015, he was announced as the World top 5 leaders.
